Named “Artist to Watch” by SheBOPS Zine (USA), Semiah has had a breakout year: her Sophomore EP LVR GRL release was picked up by AWAL; she won a DORA Award for Outstanding Composer; was touted a top performer at Sweden’s VIVA Sounds Festival by UK journalists; and invited support act for Aysanabee and Jully Black. Semiah’s original music straddles synth-laced, melancholic hyper pop and heartfelt acoustic ballads, anchored by her golden vocal tone and confessional lyrics. She’s been playlisted on CBC Radio, SiriusXM and The Journey FM and spotlighted on Indigenous TV. Clementine was the featured Song of the Day by campus radio distributor earshot! and Track of the Week by the Songwriters Association of Canada. The official music video for Clementine, released on Valentine's Day 2026, is an innovative native take on cult classic Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The LVR GRL EP also includes the track DED 2 ME mixed by JUNO winning producer Gus van Go (The Beaches, Arkells, Metric).
